CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) INFORMATION
Friday 13th March 2020
Along with other crematoria, we are closely following the UK Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation and are working alongside the Scottish Government and NHS to ensure we are putting in place appropriate and reasonable steps to ensure the safety of all visitors to the Crematorium.
If you have recently travelled to the UK from an affected, or potentially affected area, please ensure you are up to date with the latest guidance and advice before attending the Crematorium.
Anyone planning to visit the Crematorium for a Service should ensure that they are fit to attend and take personal responsibility for the risks that their own health may pose to others.
Government advice from 13th March 2020 states:
‘From Friday all people with flu like symptoms – a fever above 37.8°C or a persistent cough – should self-isolate (stay at home, away from other people) for seven days’.
We would ask that families consider carefully whether or not they wish to shake hands in the line-up at the conclusion of the service. Your Celebrant or Funeral Director will be happy to make an announcement on your behalf during the Service.
