CLYDE COAST & GARNOCK VALLEY CREMATORIUM CONTINUES SUPPORT OF LOCAL CHARITIES WITH MUCH NEEDED DONATIONS
The Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium has made much-needed donations to 3 local charities who provide important care and support within our local communities.
Largs First Responders, Ayrshire Baby Loss Support Group and Scottish Huntington’s Association have each received £1000 – funds that have been gratefully collected through the general charity boxes located within the crematorium, match-funded by the crematorium, and which will help these 3 important local charities continue their outreach work within our local communities.
Commenting on the latest charity donations, Jennifer Hamilton, Crematorium Manager said:
“We are so thankful to be able to support these three important local charities, especially at Christmastime, with these much-needed donations.
“Our heartfelt thanks goes to each and every person who left a donation following a service at the Crematorium when the bereaved family hadn’t requested a collection in support of any particular good cause.
“It is very important to us that the donations we make directly benefit local families, and during this cost-of-living crisis, it is especially important that smaller charities are recognised for the vitally important role that they play within our communities.”
About the Charities we are supporting –
Largs First Responders:
The crematorium has had first-hand experience of the excellent work that Largs First Responders provide, particularly the excellent training provided by Thom Williamson, who showed all of the crematorium staff on how to use of the new defibrillator recently installed at the crematorium.
Ayrshire Baby Loss Support Group:
Ayrshire Baby Loss Support Group provide phenomenal support to families across North Ayrshire who experience the loss of a much longed for child. They provide counselling, group meetings, home visits and vital equipment to maternity units. Jennifer and Alison from ABLSG are long-standing group members who spoke to us very movingly about their own experiences, and the support they are therefore able to offer bereaved parents and their extended families.
Scottish Huntington’s Association:
Scottish Huntington’s Association support families across North Ayrshire who are living with this incurable disease. Gemma Powell, Senior Fundraising Officer was thrilled to receive our donation of £1000 and confirmed that these funds are enough to provide intensive support to a family for one year.
Care, Kindness, Empathy and Community is at the heart of everything we do here at the Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley Crematorium, and we know that the local charities we are supporting share our commitment and our values.
