Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium receives ‘excellent’ inspection results
Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium has been recognised as ‘excellent’ in their recent inspection from industry experts, The Federation of Burial and Cremation Authorities (FBCA).
The FBCA inspection scheme is designed to better ensure standards of quality are maintained by crematoria. The purpose of the scheme is to provide the operator of the crematorium with confidence that it meets the national standards laid down by the Federation through its Code of Cremation Practice.
The inspection involves scrutinising 6 separate key areas of service delivery, through discussion with crematorium staff and reviewing more than 80 points of interest. The inspection found the crematorium to be operating in accordance with all the areas of compliance.
In his concluding remarks following his inspection of Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium, the Crematorium Inspector, Mike Day ‘found an excellent level of service provision and did not feel it necessary to make any recommendations’.
Commenting on the inspection, Jennifer Hamilton, manager of Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium said:
“We are absolutely delighted with our inspection feedback, and we thank Mike Day for his detailed inspection on all aspects of the cremation services that we are so proud to provide here at Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium for our local families and communities.
“We constantly strive to go the extra mile for every family that we care for and support, and to receive this recognition from industry experts is the perfect icing on top of our being named Best Crematorium in Scotland for an unprecedented second time.
Our above industry-average results, as well as our ‘first-class’ inspection result from Bert Swanson, Senior Inspector of Burial and Cremation in Scotland, will give families comfort and confidence in the care and service we provide at Clyde Coast.
